This week, I found a delightful book to share

Dot to Dot
By Malcolm Cossons
Pictures by Neil Stevens

Dot and her grandmother share a birthday, but dot lives in London and Grandma lives in New York.
Dot writes Grandma a card, but misses the post with all the sticking and pasting that she got caught up in.

Dot decides to try to get some animals to send her letter for her, but none of them are interested.
She eventually decides to dig her way to London, oh dear, she got a far as the garden.

Dot emerges from her tunnel to find Grandma and all her cousins, arrive in a Big Red London Bus.

Dot to Dot, wish each other a happy birthday....

But that's not the end of the story.....

FLIP

As in flip the book over and start from the end that is now the beginning.

Grandma Dot wants to see her granddaughter for their birthday, so she hops a plain and travels to Beijing, then Mumbai, then Rome, all along collecting cousins and relatives and exploring the wonderful cities as she goes, until she finally lands in New York, to surprise her granddaughter Dot with a wonderful party full of family and friends.

I have to say, I love this book and so does Gigi.  The illustrations are totally eye catching and I love this sweet story of Dot and Dot uniting, for their birthdays.

What can I say, you had me at FLIP...

We recommend this one, now off you hop!!!!!!
