As the sun sets, the busy aircraft are almost ready to finish their day. First passenger airline Clay parks his wheel unloads his passengers and settles in, while fire plane jack, drops his load on the fire on the road. Then crop duster Dan, fertilises the baron land, while air ambulance Andrew lifts an injured hiker saving the day and Jane the jet does her final pass over the cheering crowd.
Now all the aircraft are ready for bed, its time to say goodnight, sleep tight.
This was a delightful book, with great rhythm and rhyme. There are plenty of teaching moments along the way, as we find out each aircrafts unique and important purpose. The illustrations are comic book style, which I think is totally fabulous. The colours are vibrant and extremely eye catching. You can't help but ponder each page a little longer than usual, as you take in the whole scene, not just the airplanes.
We loved this book and would recommend it to any little airplane enthusiast aged 3-6.
