Kidlit Blog Hop #8 Babylit Review and a surprise at the end

Hi folks welcome to the Kidlit Blog Hop #8.
When Renee asked me to Co-Host I was so delighted, but then I thought, oh dear, what am I gonna post. I am not at all skilled in reviewing books, I prefer to write them and then bite my fingernails waiting for someone to review them.........
So I decided to post about some books that my little Gigi loves. She is only 18 months old, so we aren't quite at the stage of having real reviews, but as soon as she is I promise you a succinct review of whatever title we are reading, Until then, you will have to put up with some gushing about some truly cute books.

For anyone who knows me well, I absolutely LOVE Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice in any form, book, BBC adaption, Major motion picture with Mathew Mc Fadden, ha, hoom.... back to the books, so when my friends separately gave Gigi some of the Babylit books by Jennifer Addams and Alison Oliver, you can't help but fall in love with them immediately.

The author's have managed to summarise each of the stories into 10 pages as a counting primer. They are a hilarious take on the classics and I can't help but giggle every time I read them. Now there are some purists who say that the authors have totally lost the story plot, but personally I think they are so clever.

Gigi, absolutely loves them and they are our secret weapon to keeping her entertained in a cafe, as long as she has Chips and Pride and Prejudice she is happy.

And who wouldn't want the whole set, check these out, tooooo adorable.

You can find more about them at http://www.babylit.com/shop-books/

  1. Hi Julie,

Those Babylit books are so adorable. What a great idea! I thought I had seen them before and that one of them was Jane Eyre. I had a mild heart attack when I saw that because Jane Eyre is one of my favorite books of all time and I thought to myself, "How dare they!" lol

Thanks for co-hosting the Kid Lit Blog Hop with us this week. We are soooo excited that you are joining us. :)

  5. I love the idea of those Baby Lit books. I think they are never too young to know the classics. Such a great gift idea, from the aunty who always buys books. :) I'm a huge Jane Austen and Bronte sisters fan, too.

  9. Howdy just wanted to give you a quick heads up and let you know a few of the pictures aren't loading properly. I'm not sure why but I
think its a linking issue. I've tried it in two different web browsers and both show the same outcome.
