We are so excited to finally unveil our

Little Free Library

What is a Little Free Library?

It’s a “take a book, return a book” gathering place where neighbors share their favorite literature and stories. In its most basic form, a Little Free Library is a box full of books where anyone may stop by and pick up a book (or two) and bring back another book to share. You can, too!

So how did we get involved you are wondering.

My friend Nicole, an awesome aspiring author introduced me to her Little Free Library during a cyber workshop we were both participating.

The idea just stuck with me and I have been wanting to do it ever since.

Well, of course, my dad who is super handy, was on the case.

So far the locals seem a bit miffed about it, so I might have to put an explanation sign up, lol.

We hope to share books with our community to demonstrate the importance of literature in every walk of life.

Happy hopping folks.

Today I three books about new babies to share with you.
( You might be wondering why, well, there's a new baby boy on the way in our household, due on the planet September hurrah)

There's a house inside my Mummy Where my little brother grows, or maybe it's my little sister No-one really knows. A gentle and tender story of a little boy waiting for his little brother or sister to arrive. Told with humour and a simple rhyming text, this is the perfect picture book for all expectant brothers and sisters!

This one so far is our favourite. The message is really sweet and just enough for a 3.5 year old to comprehend.

There is so much to find out when a baby is born! What does it smell like, and when will it walk? When does it sleep, and what does it like to eat? A new addition to any family is exciting, but the experience can alsobe worrying and confusing for siblings. Coping with the new situations and emotions that arise can be very challenging. This series of four board books deals with the anticipation of waiting for the new baby, the excitement of the arrival itself, and the beginnings of the special relationship that develops between siblings. The simple conversational text and lively illustrations are carefully designed to encourage further dialogue between reader and child.

This one is a little simpler, basically what will the baby do, etc, but Gigi seems to love to laugh at what the baby does.

This one is a little bit odd.  Mum and sibling dream about all the things the baby might be when it grows up.  Gigi found this one a bit confusing actually and she keeps saying I don't want to baby to do this etc when it grows up.

These are the three books we have found so far, but I know you all have some great recommendations. Hit us with them in the comments.

Happy hopping folks.
